When I failed nursing school I wanted to give up on my dream. Then one day I got a call from one of my professors, she was wondering why I did not reapply to complete my degree. I didn't know that was an option. I was afraid. What if I fail again. This is my last chance. My professor introduced me to concept mapping. I used it as a brain dump. After lecture I would sit and just write everything I could remember from lecture without looking at my notes. When I mastered that task, I started to draw and add color. That was the best decision I could have made. I was able to recall during exams topics and drawings vividly in color. When the school noticed my notes they actually paid me to provide them to the disability office to help other nursing students study. Just like that...Nursing & Notes was born.
